Project Overview:
Tate and Lyle, a leading global supplier of food and beverage ingredients, needed a safer and more reliable guarding solution for a palletizer at their Lafayette, Indiana, facility. The existing guarding around the equipment had become damaged over time. WireCrafters partnered with Wesco to deliver a custom machine guarding system that restored safety and improved the equipment’s overall appearance.
Customer Description
The application was centered around a palletizer at the Tate and Lyle facility, where the existing machine guarding had become damaged, bent, and in some areas, completely missing. In place of proper protection, red caution tape had been used as a temporary and unsafe barrier. WireCrafters stepped in to provide a durable and visually cohesive solution, matching the height and color of the original guarding to maintain a consistent look across the cell. The new guarding restored safety and significantly improved the area’s appearance. Management was so impressed with the results that they commissioned the removal of the additional outdated guarding in the cell to implement the WireCrafters system fully.
