WireCrafters Switch Enclosure Post

WireCrafters switch enclosure posts are an enhancement of our standard RapidGuard II door posts, designed to accommodate up to five (5) 22mm switches. These posts offer versatile functionality, as they can additionally simultaneously accommodate a variety of interlocks (with or without the magnetic handle installed) and support cable trays.

Key features of the Switch Enclosure Post include:

• An oval cutout on both the front and rear faces.
• A front switch plate with five (5) 22mm cutouts for switches. (Four 22mm hole plugs are included for unused holes.)
• A solid rear cover plate that can be removed for direct access to switch terminals, facilitating troubleshooting and wiring.
• Both plates are secured with 5/16”-18 x 3/4“button head hex screws.

Stock switch enclosure posts will be available in two system heights:

• 6’-6 3/4” (actual post height 7’-1 ¼”): This option includes four (4) 1” holes for cable routing.
• 8’-5 ¼”: This option includes six (6) 1” holes for cable routing.

One-inch hole plugs are provided to cover any or all of the cable routing holes as needed. Additionally, gasket material, Oil-Resistant Buna-N Foam Strip with Adhesive-Back Soft, 1/4″ Wide, 1/16″ Thick, is included for both the front and back plates.

The strategic placement of the switch enclosure posts near interlocked movable guards, such as doors, ensures quick and easy access to critical controls like emergency stop buttons, reset buttons, or request-to-access buttons.
